We recognise that the process of finding a new home can be challenging.  

At Hume, our Housing Options team are ready and available to support you to apply for a home that suits your needs.  

Before applying for a home, please consider these quick questions. This makes your application process easier and ensures we provide you with the best information. 

Question 1

Do you have somewhere safe to stay tonight?

Yes

No

If you are in Sydney, call Link 2 Home on 1800 152 152. They will help you find emergency housing.  

If you are in the Hunter region, call us on 1800 004 300 and select ‘Option 1’. Our Housing Options team will assist. 

When you are safely housed, we can work with you to find longer term housing. 

 

Question 2

Have you applied for housing in New South Wales?

Yes

Call us on 1800 004 300 and select Option 1. We can talk to you about your application and give you advice.

No

 

Question 3

Are you an Australian resident or do you have a permanent residency visa?

Yes

No

Call us on 1800 004 300 and select Option 1. We can refer you to another agency that can help.

 

Question 4

Do you or anyone in your household work?

Yes
